Workshop within the TEMPUS UNIVIA Project on “Development and Improvement of University Administration on International Affairs”02 June 2016р.

On May, 31 – June, 01 2016 the KNEU Center of International Academic Mobility held the workshop within the TEMPUS UNIVIA Project on “Development and Improvement of University Administration on International Affairs”.

The main aim of the event was to share the results of the two-week internship, provided by the UNIVIA European partner – the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

The audience of the workshop included the project local partners from Poltava University of Economics and Trade, representatives of international relation offices of Kiev higher educational institutions, members of the KNEU Internationalization Committee, teachers and students.

The representatives of the National Erasmus Plus office, the beneficiary of the project – the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the colleagues from the other Tempus structural project PICASA have been invited too.

The workshop was opened by the Vice-Rector,Jean Monnet Professor, DS, prof. Viktor Chuzhykov’s report on the KNEU Internationalization polystructural model implementation. It covered the main issues of the University international development in 2016 – 2020.

The director of the Center of International Academic Mobility, Evhenia Kolomiyets-Ludwig presented information about the achievements of the UNIVIA project, the statistics of the students and staff exchange in 2012 – first half of 2016, the way KNEU students and teachers are selected for exchange programs.

The participants of the workshop were informed about the way European colleagues arrange the IRO’s activity and optimize the IRO’s structure sharing duties and responsibilities among IRO staff, as well as about the peculiarities of Erasmus Plus projects performance.

The rest of the program included trainings for the audience on the structure of the IRO improvement, the way a successful project working out activity should be arranged.

The Head of the National Erasmus Plus Office, Svitlana Shytikova, held a lecture on the peculiarities of Erasmus Plus projects fulfillment (challenges and tips).

The workshop provided an opportunity for the IROs of Kyiv and Poltava IROs to discuss common issues, share local and international experience, strengthen the ties between each other and the Erasmus Plus Office.
