Learning Objectives

The purpose of scientific discipline "Microeconomic analysis" is further systematization of knowledge gained earlier after studying the course "Microeconomics", and deepening of students' knowledge in microeconomic analysis of firm’s behavior.

The objectives of the scientific discipline are:

• mastering knowledge about principles and laws of companies functioning within the industry markets;

• developing skills of analytical work to assess the competitive behavior of the company in product and resource markets;

• developing skills to assess the impact of solutions for individual markets and the economy as a whole.

Learning Outcomes

After studying the discipline the student should be able to: analyze and systematize the factors determining the specific behavior of firms in the product and resource markets; assess the economic decisions taken by the company; identify patterns of interaction between the market and its participants; evaluate the efficiency of the state policy on the regulation of markets and industries.
