Academic Degree:  Master

Course Purpose: The overall aim of this course is to enable students to acquire

holistic view of knowledge management (KM) framework  and system,  assimilate KM principles and develop skills of applying appropriate tools and methods of  KM to increase institutional success.

Course Objectives:  to form students’ complex competences based on an   integratedunderstanding of the interrelated subjects and issues involved in knowledge management (KM), preparing them to respond effectively to those issues and processes.  Provide the participants with vital insight into knowledge management techniques for implementing necessary tools and procedures to construct and maintain a sustainable enterprise knowledge management system.

 

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

·       diagnose  the effectiveness of information communication at an enterprise; determine the level of information needs satisfaction of  personnel;

·       apply   group work instruments and use heuristic models and technics;

·       apply social technologies for creating effective in information metabolism groups and teams;

·       argue the choice of KM instruments to be applied for arranging and  activating  knowledge formation processes;

·       develop knowledge management system implementation program;

·       discuss essential tools, methods, systems to develop knowledge management framework strategies and procedures;

·        to analyze knowledge dissemination processes in order to exploit them in developing  competitive advantages of enterprise;  

·       discuss organizational learning, learning organizations and intellectual capital and estimate their performance;

·       to adapt KM system to corporate strategy demands;

·       determine KM organizational structures and develop job description of KM officers;
