On 14-16 March, 2014 in Washington D.C., (USA) successfully passed the 21st International Conference of Europeanists organized by the Council for European Studies at Columbia University (USA). The conference focused on the problems of economic recovery in Europe and was attended by more than 800 scientists from all around the world.

The European Integration Department of SHEE "Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman" was represented by Vinska Oksana, Ph.D., Associate Professor, who presented her research on "Restoration of Ukrainian Agricultural Potential: Contribution to Global Food Security".

Mundell and offered her own theory of the embedded currency zone, which caused a lively discussion among the participants of the session. In addition, many speeches were devoted to the growth of inequality in the EU, the problem of unemployment in southern Europe and ineffective policies of austerity.

Associate Professor Oksana Vinska  presented her research at the section "Agriculture in Europe", and exchanged ideas on the current trends and future transformations of European agriculture with other speakers, who  represented the following universities: Helene Ducros from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Christy Spackman of New York University, Romain Blancaneaux of Bordeaux Institute for Political Research and Professor Melissa Caldwell of University of California, Santa Cruz.
