Conflict Management (for Speciality 6505)

Thepurpose of discipline is to develop theoretical and applied knowledge in the field of social and labor conflicts in the organization.

Tasks of the course- to provide students’ knowledge about modern sustainable patterns and mechanisms of the emergence and development of conflicts, to form their own skills to analyze conflict situations and to develop scientific and practical recommendations for the effective conflict management at different levels of their manifestation in a social reality and, above all, in the system of social - labor relations. Students also will develop their skills in research work and their responsibility in justification and decision-making in conflict management.

The students will acquire competences:

- Effectively manage the personal level of conflict;

- To identify personal conflict factors on the workplace to optimize the relationship in the company;

- Effectively solve intrapersonal conflicts for conflict-free communications;

- To manage stress and overcome barriers of frustration in the process of interpersonal communication;

- To achieve emotional balance in the social contradictions;

- To implement different methods for reducing the emotional conflict at the individual and organizational levels;

- To manage transaction positions and reduce the level of conflict subjects of social conflict on the basis of the theory of transactional analysis;

- To use assertiveness techniques and principles to reduce conflict at the individual and organizational levels;

- To conduct a comprehensive diagnosis of the conflicts in the organization to conduct appropriate adjustment of its members.
