Labor economics and labor relationsThe purpose of the courseis to develop for students of systems, which consist of theoretical knowledge and practical skills for effective management of labor and social labor relations at various levels. Objectives of the course are: - the coverage of theoretical and methodological and applied aspects of contemporary issues in labor economics and industrial relations; -the formation among students of practical skills and competencies on application of methods and mechanisms in the labor administration and the social and labor relations; - the development of abilities to research labor economics on macro-, meso- and micro- level. The students will acquire competences: - systematize theoretical and practical aspects of information for deep understanding of problems in labor economics and industrial relations; - design the balance of working time per employee for the company; -identify and assess the level of reserves to improve the using work time; - develop a program of controlling personnel, which bases on approaches according national and international practice; - form a labor administration system on the enterprise . - determine the benefits and costs of investment in education; - calculate indicators of the effectiveness in investment for human capital; - determine indicators such as labor severity, labor intensity, job complexity, labor quality and efficiency; - calculate effectiveness indicators for the various methods; - determine the potential for raising effectiveness; - establish setting rate standards such as standard time, output standard, service rate and other; - work simplification and efficiency promotion.
