The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global intercollegiate competition which provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis and professional ethics. Each student participant will be tested on their analytic, valuation, report writing and presentation skills and gain real-world experience as they assume the role of a research analyst.

A seminar "EU's Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development: Opportunities for Ukrainian Researchers in the Field of Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities" took place on 16 June 2011 in the conference room. The seminar was organised: by the EU-funded project "Joint Support Office for Enhancing Ukraine's Integration into the European Research Area" (JSO-ERA); the National Contact Point of EU's Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development "Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities", and the Higher Education Institute of Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economics University.

An English-language master class of Dr. Gudrun Rumf (Germany) on the "Key Specific Features in the Innovation Policy: EU vs Ukraine Comparison" was organised on 6 June 2011 on the initiative of the Higher Education Institute of Vadym Hetman KNEU for master and post-graduate students, and teachers of our university. During the master class, the event participants had an opportunity to familiarise with specific issues of the innovation policy in Ukraine and the EU countries and take part in their discussion along the following lines:

The national TEMPUS Office in Ukraine together with the Higher Education Institute of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine have organised and successfully held the Annual City-wide Science Methodology Seminar for Young Scientists named "International Experience of the Training of Scientists and Their Role in the Development of World-class Universities on 18 May 2011. The event was opened by Volodymyr LUHOVY, Vice President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, Director of the Higher Education Institute of the Academy.
