USAID Administrator Dr. Rajiv Shah’s key-note speech at KNEU18 June 2014р.

On   June 18, 2014 professors and students at KNEU had a wonderful possibility to welcome U.S. Agency for International Development Administrator Dr. Rajiv Shah, who delivered a key-note speech on the ways of fighting corruption in Ukraine. He announced $10 million in additional  U.S. support for Ukraine, largely for corruption tackling measures.

The support furthers the U.S. Government’s commitment to fighting corruption, especially with stakeholders and in areas not previously addressed, by helping the Ukrainians develop institutions and mechanisms to better monitor how their government is working for them.

"Across the world, we see how corruption stifles dreams and limits opportunity,"  Dr. Rajiv Shah said. "By working hand-in-hand with our partners to increase transparency, we can unlock broad-based economic growth and strengthen democratic governance in Ukraine for generations to come."

The professors and students at KNEU thank Dr. Rajiv Shah and USAID  organizers  for extremely interesting  discussion  that  will facilitate further development of Ukraine and its economy.
