On 25 November 2010 the Academic Council of Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (hereafter – “KNEU”) approved the creation of French-Ukrainian Institute of Management as part of KNEU.

Full official name of the Institute:
in the Ukrainian language – French-Ukrainian Institute of Management (FUIM) as part of KNEU;
in the French language – l’Institut Franco-Ukrainien de Management de l’Universite Nationale d’Economie «Vadym Hetman » de Kiev (IFUM).
 

Mission of the Institute:
Implementation of the joint French-Ukrainian academic programs and support of scientific research in the sphere of economics and management.

To implement specific academic and educational projects, other French partners can be attracted, i.e. higher educational institutions, associations, French enterprises, their representative offices and affiliates in Ukraine. Relations with partners shall be regulated by the corresponding agreements executed in accordance with the Articles of Association of KNEU.
 

Objective of the Institute:

1. Support of academic research and implementation of the joint French-Ukrainian educational programs.
2. Coordination of KNEU departments and divisions’ activities with the French Universities, the Embassy of France, French Culture Center, French companies and their affiliates in Ukraine, in order to provide for quality European level higher economic education, to improve linguistic training of the French language graduates, to streamline their integration into European business environment and their introduction to European cultural values.
3. Improvement of the in-depth academic training of postgraduate and doctorate students, improvement of scientific qualification of academic, pedagogical and scientific workers by means of their joint scientific research and development.
4. Improvement of scientific, cultural and economic co-operation between Ukraine and France via active cooperation between KNEU and French higher institutions.
 

 

 

 

Principal activities of the Institute:

1. Joint fundamental and practical research of economics, entrepreneurial activity, finance and management that correspond on the level of international practices on the base of the partner higher institutions’ research laboratories.
2. Joint training of academic manpower (graduate students).
3. Master’s programs of M1 level.
4. Master’s programs on M2 level.
5. Linguistic training for students in France (summer schools of economics, law and linguistics).
6. Linguistic traineeship for first- to third-year students that plan to further undertake the joint French-Ukrainian Program.
7. Academic and linguistic training of lecturers in France.
8. Establishing connection with French companies and their representative offices working in the Ukrainian market with the view to organize traineeship for students of the French-Ukrainian Masters Programs and to execute the Agreements on graduation thesis.

Les missions de l’Institut:

Promouvoir et soutenir des formations superieures et des recherches scientifiques en partenariat franco-ukrainien en matiere de l’economie et de la gestion.

Dans le cadre de ces missions il est possible de faire recours a d’autres partenaires francais tels que : etablissements d’enseignement superieur, associations, entreprises francaises, leurs representations et filiales en Ukraine. Dans ce cas les relations entre les partenaires sont reglementees par des accords appropries conformes aux Statuts de l’Universite.

Les objectifs de l’Institut:

1. Realiser des projets franco-ukrainiens conjoints dans le domaine des formations superieures et soutenir des recherches scientifiques en matiere de l’economie et de la gestion.
2. Developper et coordonner les activites entre les facultes et les departements de KNEU avec celles des universites franeaises partenaires, l’ambassade de France a Kiev, l’Institut Francais d’Ukraine, des entreprises francaises, leurs bureaux de representation et leurs filiales ukrainiennes afin d’assurer une formation  economique superieure de haute qualite et de niveau europeen.
Ameliorer les connaissances et les competences linguistiques des cadres ukrainiens francophones.
Contribuer a former les cadres ukrainiens francophones sur les faeons de travailler et les modes de raisonnements francais, les aider a integrer l’environnement commercial europeen et a s’associer aux valeurs culturelles francaises et europeennes.
3. Renforcer la formation des doctorants, parfaire la qualification des cadres pedagogiques et scientifiques par la realisation des projets de recherche scientifiques conjoints.
4. Contribuer a la cooperation scientifique, economique et culturelle entre l’Ukraine et la France moyennant un travail actif de KNEU avec des etablissements d’enseignement superieur francais.

Les orientations principales des activites de l’Institut:

1. Recherches scientifiques communes.
2. Formation commune des cadres scientifiques (cycle d'etudes preparant a la soutenance de la these de doctorat).
3. Programmes de formation de Master 1.
4. Programmes de formation de Master 2.
5. Organisation des cursus universitaires pour les etudiants  ukrainiens dans les etablissements d'enseignements superieurs francais et des stages en entreprise.
6. Formation linguistique des etudiants.
7. Organisation des stages linguistiques et scientifiques des professeurs.
8. Etablissement des relations avec des entreprises francaises en Ukraine afin d’y organiser des stages pour les etudiants ukrainiens francophones faisant leurs etudes a l’Institut dans le cadre des programmes Master.
