Oleh Anatoliiovych Shvydanenko, born in 1975. Graduated from secondary school No. 179 in Kyiv in 1994. In 1997, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of International Economics and Management of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman with a degree in International Economics and received a Master's degree.
In 2000, he graduated from the School of Finance and Management at the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside, London, UK, and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance.
Since September 1999, he has been working as a professor at the Department of International Economics at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. In 2003, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor for effective teaching and research work.
In 2001, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Department, a position he held until entering the doctoral program at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman in 2004.
He has been a candidate of economic sciences since 1999. He defended his PhD thesis at the Specialized Academic Council at Kyiv National Economic University. Doctor of Economics since 2008, specialty 08.00.02 - World Economy and International Economic Relations.
In 2005, he became the first winner of the competition of young scientists of the international professional scientific journal International Economic Policy, held at the Kyiv National Economic University with the assistance of the Ottawa Centre for Trade Policy and Law (Canada) at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). In 2008, he was awarded a scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists in 2008-2010. In 2009, he was awarded the President of Ukraine Prize for Young Scientists in 2009.
From September 1999 to the present, he has been working as a professor at the Department of International Economics at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. In March 2010, he was appointed Director of the Institute of Encyclopedic Research in Economics at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. Since April 2019, he has been appointed Director of the Institute of Global Economic Policy of the State Higher Educational Institution Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman.
