- Roundtable "Benchmarking the Readiness of Institutional Strategies and Business Models of Ukrainian Companies for "Green Changes"" was held
Roundtable "Benchmarking the Readiness of Institutional Strategies and Business Models of Ukrainian Companies for "Green Changes"" was held26 September 2025р.

On September 24, 2025, a roundtable was held at KNEU on the topic "Benchmarking the Readiness of Institutional Strategies and Business Models of Ukrainian Companies for "Green Changes"", which was dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the results of the analytical study.
The study was conducted during the implementation of the grant project "Youth Leadership for Consolidation of EU Initiatives in the Context of Cross-Border Instability in Ukraine".
The study was conducted in 2023-2025, covering more than 1,000 domestic enterprises. Researchers managed to identify patterns and features, challenges and opinions regarding the processes of green transformation of companies at the current stage. About 50 people from KNEU and other institutions participated in the roundtable.
The speakers and participants in the discussion (especially Professors Stolyarchuk Ya.M., Ilnytskyy D.O., Stezhko N.V., as well as Antoniuk L.L., Chernytska T.V., Associate Professors Moskalyuk N.P., Lykholet S.I., Olshevska I.P.) noted that:
- the corporate strategy of most companies only partially meets the sustainability criteria;
- a significant part of companies underestimates climate risks for business;
- the vast majority of Ukrainian companies are already implementing resource efficiency measures, but the depth and innovativeness of these measures vary;
- there is a rather cautious approach of business to financing sustainable development and resource efficiency;
- respondents demonstrate a high level of attention to occupational safety, personnel health and human resource development;
- significant progress has been made by Ukrainian companies in forming a compliance culture;
- the level of implementation of circular economy principles in corporate governance is currently insufficient and mostly declarative;
- there is a positive trend in the offer of "green" products and services, although this process has not yet become universal;
- companies' approaches to selecting suppliers are mostly focused on efficiency and quality, rather than on the geographical principle, which limits direct support for local businesses;
- only a third of enterprises stated that their product assessment systems meet international standards.
