Results of the seventh training "European Model of Green Development"30 September 2025р.

From September 12 to September 26, 2025, the next training "European Model of Green Development" was held, which became the seventh in the line of educational events.

The training was held within the framework of the international technical assistance project of the European Union Erasmus+ "Youth leadership towards the consolidation of EU initiatives in the context of cross-border instability in Ukraine".

The participants of the training were mainly students of the Faculty of International Economics and Management of KNEU. At the same time, among the participants there were also representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Marketing, the Faculty of Finance and the Law Institute of KNEU. In addition, the participants of the training represented such institutions as the National Natural Park "Holosiivskyi" of the National University of Bioresources and Environmental Management, the National University "Chernihiv Polytechnic", the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, the State University "Kyiv Aviation Institute" and the Tavria State Agro-Technological University named after Dmytro Motorny. In total, more than 80 students took part in the seventh training and received the relevant certificates.

The classes traditionally discussed the scientific principles of the green economy, as well as European climate ambitions and tools for their implementation, resource security and decarbonization of the EU energy system, the Common Energy Space of Ukraine and the EU, non-financial reporting, circular economy and European practices for implementing such an economy in life. Both theoretical and practical examples of modern technological solutions that meet the principles of sustainable development were considered. The issues of priority projects of international technical assistance received by Ukraine were considered.

The European Union has consistently demonstrated a scientifically based belief that the transition to a green economy is not just a change, but a phenomenal, historic opportunity to build an economic system that is not only sustainable, but also truly fair for all. This ambitious vision is embodied through a landmark document, the European Green Deal.

Therefore, prioritizing green transformations today is not just an environmental whim, but a strategic imperative that directly determines the viability and competitiveness of the economy for decades to come.

And now, after the grand, historic moment when Ukraine deservedly received the status of a candidate for EU membership and opened the way to negotiations on full membership, the challenge and tasks have become more ambitious and even more urgent: to transform the Ukrainian economy into a clean, zero-emission and completely pollution-free one. This is our duty to future generations!

Economic recovery on a green basis will create the conditions for Ukraine's sustainable competitive success after the war and overcoming many problems and challenges.
