Main areas of scientific and organizational activity of the Institute- Coordination and cooperation with other organizations both in Ukraine and abroad to solve complex scientific problems related to the design and development of information systems in the economy.
- Activation and preparation of the Institute's grant activities for participation in international IT projects.
- Involvement of foreign partner universities for joint preparation and cooperation in the preparation and implementation of grants, projects, programs
- Implementation of research and design work in areas determined by state institutions, in particular, the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization, the Ukrainian Institute of Scientific, Technical and Economic Information, the National Center for E-Government Support.
- Implementation of mutual exchange of experience of scientists and specialists from scientific and other organizations and institutions of Ukraine and foreign countries, organization of trips of Institute employees abroad and hosting foreign specialists.
- Implementation of preparation for the publication of collective and individual monographs, textbooks, teaching aids, other scientific works.
- Conducting scientific examinations, information, consulting work and other services.
