The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Passau maintains an International Visiting Scholars Programme.

Under this programme, visiting scholars are assigned to a Chair at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, offering them the opportunity to become acquainted with new scientific perspectives and approaches. Close contact with academic staff and students opens up additional potential for cooperation and further exchange initiatives

University of Passau values  visiting scholars highly and believes they have an important role to play in facilitating international partnerships, contributing to potential student exchanges and transferring scientific knowledge and results.

To outline the key facts of the programme: visiting scholars need to stay for at least 14 days and give lectures amounting to a minimum workload of 1 ECTS credit. Remuneration is €1,500 plus a travel allowance. Visiting scholars have access to a fully furnished office. The application deadline for the following semester is on 15 November or 15 June.
