Department of Professional and Public Communications

The Department of Professional and Public Communications of the State Higher Educational Institution “Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman” is a structural unit of the University, which creates and ensures the functioning of the system of public and professional communications with external and internal target audiences, including coordinating career guidance and information and consulting work with applicants of all levels, improving the information and communication policy of the University, working on the development and promotion of the University brand.

The main tasks of the Department are:

  • Formation, implementation and control of compliance with the unified communication policy of the University.
  • Participation in the development and implementation of an effective corporate branding strategy and rebranding processes of the University.
  • Studying the needs of target audiences and developing appropriate recommendations and proposals for the improvement of overall communication system of the University.
  • Monitoring the internal and external information space for mentions of the University and, if necessary, ensuring the appropriate response of University officials (monitoring of the media, social networks, studying public opinion through sociological surveys).
  • Researching the information space (media, social networks) for references to the main competitors and developing appropriate recommendations and proposals for the general Communication Policy of the University.
  • Promptly informing employees and students of the University about the activities of the Department
  • Control over the observance of the principles of corporate identity in the work of the University's internal units.
  • Ensuring effective marketing communications.
  • Formation, publication and promotion of information content on the University's activities in the educational, scientific, professional corporate and public spheres on the Internet, including the University's social networks.
  • Making proposals for improving the work and information content of the University Website.
  • Creation of information content and support of the functioning of the official pages of the University in social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Interaction with the press services of government agencies, state and local authorities, mass media, business representatives and other organizations for the purpose of comprehensive and impartial coverage of the University's activities, including the distribution of reference, information, analytical and advertising materials, photo and video information, etc.
  • Organizing and conducting, jointly with other structural units of the University, events aimed at forming sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders in accordance with the University's development strategy.
  • Establishment and support of the University Contact Center and, together with the University Admissions Committee,  to ensure that potential applicants, students of other higher education institutions, their parents and the public are informed about admission to the University.
  • Formation, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the system of career guidance activities to assist potential applicants in choosing a future field of professional activity in accordance with their personal inclinations and abilities, direction and specialty of higher education, in educational and research institutes, faculties, departments, and other structural units of the University.
  • Cooperation with educational organizations and educational institutions of various levels to develop joint projects, programs, and career guidance activities to enable potential applicants to learn about and test themselves in economic, business, management, legal, and information technology professions.
