KNEU Joins the International GEURS - Working Group on the Global Economy and Ukraine’s Reconstruction

 

On 02 March2026, the establishment of the Working Group on the Global Economy and Ukraine’s Reconstruction Strategy (GEURS) was officially announced. GEURS is an interdisciplinary initiative aimed at advancing research and practical approaches at the intersection of international economics and law.

Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU) has joined this initiative as a partner, supporting the development of international academic and expert cooperation focused on Ukraine’s recovery and broader global economic resilience.

The Working Group brings together scholars and practitioners from Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and other countries worldwide to foster collaborative research, training initiatives, academic activities, and policy-relevant dialogue.

Thematic Areas of GEURS

The activities of the Working Group cover four interrelated thematic areas:

  • Energy Infrastructure and Critical Minerals
  • Global Value Chain Dynamics
  • Innovation and Digitalisation
  • Financing for Sustainable Development

The Working Group is led by the following Co-Chairs:
