Expanding Academic Horizons: Short Visit to SGH Warsaw School of EconomicsFrom April 13 to April 18, 2026, Dr. Olha Dymnich, Assoc. Prof. at the Department of Banking and Insurance (KNEU), conducted an academic visit to SGH Warsaw School of Economics (Poland) as part of the CIVICA 3rd Call for Ukrainian Scholar Short Visits. The visit was hosted by Prof. Adam Śliwiński (PhD, MBA, DSc, Eng.), Director of the Institute of Risk and Financial Markets and Head of the Department of Risk and Insurance at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. Key Highlights of the Visit: Diplomacy & Culture: attendance at a special screening of the documentary 'Palyanytsia' hosted by the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland. Institutional Cooperation: high-level meeting with Dr. Iryna Degtyarova, the Rector’s Representative for Cooperation with Ukrainian Universities, to discuss future joint academic initiatives. Industry Engagement: professional sessions with Prof. Śliwiński and Norbert Duczkowski, complemented by a guest lecture at Allianz Poland, bridging academic research with industry practices. Academic Exchange: active participation in the CIVICA conference (April 16–17). А central focus of the visit was the enhancement of the strategic partnership between the respective departments of KNEU and SGH. Future cooperation will include joint open lectures and initiatives aimed at active student engagement in international research. By fostering these ties, KNEU continues to provide its students with direct access to European educational standards and professional networking within the global insurance market.
