Curators’ page

The main organizational unit of the educational process at the Kyiv National

Economic University named after Vadym Hetman is the student academic group, the

work with which is the most important area in the system of educational activities of

the department, faculty/educational and research institute and the University.

The academic group is supervised by a curator in terms of advisory and

methodological guidance.

The institute of curators is introduced in the practice of educational work of the

University in order to increase the efficiency of this work by improving its

organization, control, and the use of the principle of individual approach, taking into

account the personal and age characteristics of each student. Formation of a student

collective at the initial stage is aimed at creating a basis for its further work on the

principles of self-government.

The main task of the curator is to implement a comprehensive process of

education in the following areas at the level of an academic student group:

- attitude to society (civic education focused on the formation of social qualities

of the individual — civic consciousness, respect for the law, social activity,

responsibility, professional ethics);

- public relations (education of humanity from both a civil and legal and moral

standpoint — respect for individual rights and freedoms, religious and ethnic

tolerance, humanity, decency);

- attitude to culture (fostering respect for cultural values and achievements of

mankind, fostering spirituality);

- attitude to the profession (mastering professional ethics, understanding the

social mission of the profession, developing responsibility for the level of

professional knowledge and quality of work);

- personal relationships (family, environmental education, promotion of a

healthy lifestyle).
