The Accounting Department is an independent structural unit of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, which was created to ensure the accounting and financial reporting at the University.

The main tasks of the accounting department include:

1. Accounting of financial and economic activities of the University and preparation of reports.

2. Reflection in the documents of reliable and complete information on business transactions and performance results necessary for the operational management of budget allocations (appropriations) and financial and tangible (intangible) resources.

3. Ensuring compliance with budget legislation when entering into budgetary obligations, timely submission for registration of such obligations, making payments in accordance with the budgetary obligations, and accurate and complete reflection of transactions in accounting and reporting.

4. Ensuring control over the availability and movement of property, the use of financial and tangible (intangible) resources in accordance with approved standards and estimates.

5. Prevention of negative phenomena in financial and economic activities, identification and mobilization of internal reserves.
