The article considers the existing system of valuation indices within economy which is based on the classical postulates of the theory of value and is the reason for the repeating economic crisises. It is offered to base the value of goods, services and money on the law of conservation and transformation of energy, so that the total value of goods and services produced and used within the economy during a particular period of time is equal to the total energy spending on their production and consumption.
