Learning Objectives

The objective of the course is to provide a systematic understanding of the principles, methods and tools for decision-making, allowing the most efficient use of available resources to meet social and personal needs.

Tasksof the course are:to learn the basic concepts, methods and approaches that are used in the world practice in the analysis of projects; to identify the most important issues related to the implementation of projects at national, regional, sectoral and local levels; to get practical analytical skills and tools, necessary for pre-project preparations; give a systematic understanding of the methods of project evaluation, ways and means to attract resources for projects and mechanisms to manage them.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the requirements for this course, students will be able to:

• formulate the project idea for the main features of the project;

• identify and evaluate explicit and implicit consequences of the project;

• calculate key performance indicator of projects and analyze results;

• to analyze the financial and economic aspects of the project on the basis of marketing, technical, environmental, social and institutional characteristics of its implementation.
