INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS ANALYSISINTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS ANALYSIS (elective) Academic Degree: Bachelor Course Purpose: the overall aim of this course is that the student shall gain the integrated view of the frame of concepts and terms, models and methods of analytical research of entrepreneurial organizations. Course Objectives: to develop understanding of business and management analytical research and learn how to conduct it individually or in a group; to form the ability to use different information sources, search, organize and process quantitative and qualitative data; to understand the basics of building a business analysis system, to acquire skills of arguing the rationale for specific behavior of a firm in a competitive environment. Learning outcomes Having completed the course the student will be able to: • to use correctly concepts, think critically and use gained knowledge of business analysis; • to choose appropriate information sources and use different methods for processing and interpreting the data gathered; • demonstrate a competent understanding of interconnection between elements of business analysis system and functional tasks of an enterprise working in specific context; • to analyze business situations from game model standpoint (inspecting virtual enterprise) and develop rational managerial decisions; • to work effectively in team, solving particular issues of jointly performed tasks.
