Undergraduate Work Placement is aimed at developing students' professional skills and competencies in financial accounting based on the knowledge acquired at the university. It focuses on the primary recording of business transactions and their reflection in synthetic and analytical accounting registers.

Objective of Undergraduate Work Placement

The objective of the Undergraduate Work Placement is to deepen and consolidate the theoretical knowledge acquired by full-time students during lectures and practical classes at the university. It also aims to develop essential practical and organizational skills for independent work in the field of accounting for business operations, utilizing information systems and technologies.

Key Tasks of the Bachelor's Undergraduate Work Placement

Undergraduate Work Placement aims to equip students with practical skills and in-depth knowledge of financial accounting through real-world applications. The main tasks of the internship include:
  • Familiarizing with the enterprise serving as the internship base (hereinafter referred to as "the enterprise"), including its charter, organizational and legal structure, primary activities, business relations, product range, and technological features that influence accounting practices.
  • Examining the regulatory framework governing the core activities of the enterprise.
  • Studying the application of tax regulations and key provisions of the enterprise’s accounting policy.
  • Acquiring practical skills in recording specific accounting objects in the financial records.
  • Understanding the structure and components of the enterprise’s financial statements.
  • Developing practical skills in preparing various types of financial statements.
  • Analyzing the organization of management accounting at the enterprise.
  • Critically assessing the current state of management accounting at the enterprise.
  • Reinforcing theoretical knowledge acquired in courses such as "Management Accounting," "Taxation System of Enterprises," "Financial Reporting of Enterprises," and other professional disciplines.
  • Collecting and processing data for the preparation of the bachelor's qualification thesis.

Expected Learning Outcomes

By the end of the Undergraduate Work Placement, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of:
  • The financial and operational performance of the enterprise, including key indicators from the last two reporting years.
  • Legislative and regulatory requirements governing business operations.
  • Tax regulations applicable to the enterprise.
  • Standards and regulations for the preparation of financial statements.
  • Roles and responsibilities of accounting personnel.
  • The enterprise’s accounting policy and its key provisions.
  • The organization and process of compiling consolidated accounting documents.
  • The procedures for preparing financial reports.
  • The principles and methodology of management accounting at the enterprise.
  • The fundamentals and principles of enterprise taxation

Practical Skills Acquired During the Undergraduate Work Placement

Upon completing the Undergraduate Work Placement, students should be able to:
  • Develop an Accounting Policy Order – Formulate an enterprise’s accounting policy order, incorporating optimal accounting methods tailored to the business's needs.
  • Organize and Summarize Accounting Data – Classify, accumulate, and consolidate economic data in analytical and synthetic accounting registers.
  • Perform Managerial Accounting Calculations – Execute necessary financial and operational calculations to support management accounting tasks.
  • Process Management Accounting Information – Classify, accumulate, and summarize economic data within the management accounting system for decision-making purposes.
  • Prepare Financial Statements – Summarize financial and operational results and prepare financial statements in accordance with regulations.
  • Assess Financial Reporting Quality - Evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of financial statements with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
