Education

Born on March 18, 1955. He received his higher education in Donetsk, where in 1981 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of History of Donetsk State University. By profession - a historian with the right to teach history and social studies.

In 2002, he defended his PhD thesis, received the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences in the specialty "World History".

In 2014, he defended his doctoral dissertation and received the scientific degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences in the specialty "History of Ukraine".

Work experience

Over the next two decades, he worked in various secondary schools in the Donetsk region as a teacher of history and other disciplines. He was constantly engaged in improving his professional skills. In 1999 and 2000, at the invitation of the Donetsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education, he participated in the professional competitions "Teacher of the Year", first in the nomination "Jurisprudence", the second time - in the nomination "History", twice won prizes.

In 2002 - 2004 worked as an associate professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and deputy dean of the Faculty of Journalism of the Donetsk Institute of Social Education.

From 2004 to 2014, he held the position of associate professor of the Department of Sociology of Management of the Donetsk State University of Management. In 2006, he received the academic title of associate professor.

From December 2014 to November 2018, he worked as the head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. In 2016, he received the academic title of professor.

From November 2018 to November 2021, he worked as the head, then professor, of the Department of Philosophy and History of the Educational and Scientific Humanitarian Institute of the V.I. Vernadsky Tavrichesky National University.

Since September 2022, he has been a professor at the Department of Sociology of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University.

The main areas of activity are teaching, development of methodological recommendations for academic disciplines, and scientific research. In the scientific field, the main academic interest is the sociology of everyday life and social history, in particular, the everyday life of ordinary citizens in conditions of socio-political crisis and the ability of social communities to self-organize in an extreme situation.
