Yuriy Mykolayovych Pakhomov

Professor Yuriy Mykolayovych Pakhomov was a distinguished Ukrainian economist, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He was the author of over 350 scientific publications, including 32 monographs.

Yuriy Pakhomov graduated from the Faculty of Law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1953. His research interests focused on the study of production relations and the social aspects of economic development. He made a significant contribution to the study of agrarian relations and the social dimensions of economic progress.

Throughout his career, Yuriy Pakhomov held various academic and administrative positions. He was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) from 1990 to 1991.

On November 16, 2006, in accordance with Protocol No. 5 of the Academic Council, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU) awarded Yuriy Mykolayovych Pakhomov the title of Doctor Honoris Causa in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of economic science and education in Ukraine.
