Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman

СIVICA European Week 202508 July 2025р.

From June 23 to 27, 2025, the Ukrainian academic community, including representatives of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, participated in CIVICA European Week 2025 at the National University of Political Sciences and Public Administration (Bucharest, Romania). During the week, students and professors from different countries attended panel discussions with representatives of government, business, the public sector, and the academic community, participated in thematic visits, including to the famous Palace of Parliament, the National Stadium, and the oldest market in Bucharest, and worked on practical cases on sustainable development and resilience, which they brilliantly presented to the competition committee.

A visit to a leading Romanian University specializing in social sciences and communications will certainly be the beginning of new joint projects, as our countries have many common challenges, including overcoming the consequences of the totalitarian past, combating disinformation, and ensuring media literacy.

The experience of organizing and conducting international networking events and mentoring students is of great importance and will be implemented in practice by Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. The most important of them are the dissemination of European values and the affirmation of the role of consolidated decision-making of the authorities, business, and the public through a combination of classroom work and outdoor activities, a balance of lecture work and training.

It is pleasant to note that Ukrainian students worthily represented our country at such an honorable international event, were always active, asked relevant and interesting questions, and brilliantly presented the results of their group projects.

Overall, European Week 2025 is a significant event for developing youth potential and shaping a safe, peaceful future for Europe. Therefore, we sincerely thank the CIVICA alliance, the host university SNSPA, and the KNEU International Relations Department for the excellent organization and the opportunity to participate.
