On June 9, 2020, a meeting was held between representatives of the State Innovative Financial and Credit Institution (SIFCU) and representatives of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman.

During the meeting they discussed the creation of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation KNEU HUB and the possibility of financing an innovation project. According to university representatives, it is necessary to stimulate entrepreneurial activity in Ukraine. Today, offline space is important for young people, which inspires them to create ideas and develop new solutions. The hub provides maximum support for the implementation of innovative ideas and entrepreneurial potential of students and teachers in partnership with business to enhance social development.

Today the project needs financial support. According to the targeted contributions and the level of commitment to the development of KNEUhub, sponsors, partners and patrons will have a number of benefits, including: involvement in university projects, the status of "General Partner of KNEUhub" and a number of others.

The participants of the meeting discussed the international video pitch competition Creative Spark Big Idea Challenge, which will be held in October in Ukraine. According to KNEU representatives, their goal is to turn university students into entrepreneurs so that everyone, regardless of faculty, can study entrepreneurship as additional education, in parallel with basic education, as well as receive a certificate for it.

We sincerely hope that the creation of the Hub will intensify innovation and cooperation between the academic and business communities at the local, national and international levels. Development of entrepreneurial spirit in the university environment, providing support to students in creating business and projects - the fundamental basis of innovation in Ukraine.
