KNEU in THE University Impact Rankings15 July 2020р.KNEU is the best economic university of Ukraine in the context of sustainable development. This year's ranking of the world's universities for the promotion of sustainable development goals (THE Impact Rankings 2020) attended by 766 universities from 85 countries, including 11 domestic higher education institutions, became known. THE Impact Ranking evaluates universities in terms of involvement in the process of achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals approved by the UN General Assembly. The ranking was conducted by a world-renowned organization that supports the ranking of world universities - THE - Times Higher Education. In the final ranking, our university took second place among the universities of Ukraine and first among the universities of economics and humanities, being in the group of universities occupying 401-600 places. KNEU participated in four categories, where it gained leading positions by representing Ukraine with dignity. In particular: ● gender equality - 201-300 place in the world (41.3-51.7 points) first place among Ukrainian universities; ● partnership to achieve the goals of sustainable development - 301-400 place in the world (54.3-6.3 points) (second place in Ukraine); ● quality education - 401-600 place in the world (23.0-40.5 points) took third place among Ukrainian universities; ● decent work and economic development - 301-400 place in the world (34.0-47.2 points) our university took third place among the universities of Ukraine. KNEU's high positions are based on the recognition of activities for the implementation of educational programs in the field of sustainable development (in particular, the program "Green Economy"), the functioning of institutional platforms (in particular, the Resource Center for Sustainable Development), the effectiveness of existing social projects implemented by the academic teaching staff with university students (in particular, projects of the Enactus KNEU team), holding scientific and practical conferences, providing comfortable working conditions, equality and non-discrimination, inclusiveness, development, etc. The ranking evaluates the activities of the world's universities in terms of the level of positive impact on society, the economy and the environment. The ranking methodology involves each university participating in four of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The ranking is based on the evaluation of information provided by universities, external suppliers and internal sources of the organizers. The leaders of the ranking were universities from New Zealand, Australia, the USA, Italy, Canada and the United Kingdom, which formed a dozen leading institutions that best implement the mission of universities to influence social development. |
