The purpose of the program Training highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff in the field of study 05 "Social and Behavioral Sciences" in specialty 051 "Economics" able to solve complex problems in the area of research, innovation and professional activity, which involves a profound rethinking of existing and creation of new holistic knowledge and professional practices based on formation and development of program competencies, acquisition of essential skills and abilities to perform original dissertation research in the field of economics, which has important theoretical and practical significance
Characteristics of the educational and scientific program The program's characteristics are: 1) the study of socio-economic systems of different levels (country, region, enterprise) using an interdisciplinary approach, taking into account socio-cultural preconditions and consequences; 2) combination of philosophical understanding and theoretical generalization of economic life with applied innovative developments, suitable for practical use in the activities of organizations of different levels and in commercial practice; 3) mastering and using modern tools of statistical research and economic-mathematical modeling of socio-economic processes; 4) focus of education, and research on integration into the international scientific community, close cooperation with government agencies, international organizations, domestic and foreign institutions of science and education, and the business sector.

Employment and competitive advantages of program graduates Graduates of the educational and scientific program 051 "Economics" can hold positions in government agencies and organizations of various levels, and also carry out administrative activities in science and education, conduct scientific and scientific-pedagogical activities in universities and other educational institutions, carry out professional activities, hold management positions in enterprises and organizations , and different types of economic activity. The educational and scientific program provides a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical (including pedagogical) training. Training is conducted in an active research environment, which includes interactive, open and problem lectures, seminars, and round tables with well-known experts and practitioners in economics and related fields. Participation in business training, the use of case methods, as well as the use of new educational information and communication technologies. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) has the opportunity to study in a scientific program at the ninth qualification level by the National Framework of Qualifications in the field of study "Social and Behavioral Sciences" or related fields of study; receiving additional postgraduate education, research grants and fellowships .
Program learning outcomes After graduation, graduates will be able to demonstrate a systematic scientific worldview and general cultural outlook; to adhere to professional ethics and the principles of academic and professional integrity in professional, scientific and educational (pedagogical) activities; to present and discuss the results of their scientific work in a foreign language in oral and written forms; to apply modern information technologies in scientific,professional and educational activity; to demonstrate creativity, produce new ideas, initiate innovative projects, ensure leadership and autonomy in professional activities; to have the skills to search and critically analyze information obtained from different sources, to study relationships, develop economic and mathematical models of behavior of commercial entities; to communicate on economic issues with representatives of other professional groups of different levels (broad scientific, professional and expert communities, including international), and with society as a whole. Graduates will also achieve the following learning outcomes in specialized competencies :to know the underlying paradigms, concepts, theories, models, and tools for the study of socio-economic systems of different levels; to have the skills to determine the relationships and interaction of social and economic factors for the development of the state and society to manage effectively economic processes at the macro and micro levels; to critically analyze the existing and to synthesize new ideas for solving complex socio-economic problems, to implement research and innovation activities in economics; to have specialized knowledge in the subject area, to choose and form adequate methods and models, and use other (relevant) tools for making scientifically sound decisions in the process of professional activity; to be able to formulate scientific hypotheses and tasks, to plan, conduct and implement unique research; to manage research projects and / or draft proposals for research funding, register intellectual property rights; to have pedagogical skills to develop and teach economic disciplines, using modern learning technologies.
