On January 6, 2025, it was announced in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) that the International Defence Conference (IDC) 2025 would take place on February 16 under the theme "Reimagining Defence: Innovation, Integration, and Resilience." The event is being held within the framework of the International Defence Exhibition IDEX 2025 and the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition NAVDEX 2025, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The prestigious international forum was attended by Professor Shvydanenko Oleg Anatoliiovych, Doctor of Economic Sciences  and Director of the Institute of Global Economic Policy at Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU). His participation in the conference aimed to explore the latest global trends in the defense industry, particularly in the context of innovation, technological integration, and ensuring economic resilience amid geopolitical turbulence.

Professor Shvydanenko contributed to discussions on the strategic interplay between defense policy, innovation-driven development, and the transformation of the global economy.
