The EU aims to be a global leader in addressing climate and environmental challenges. Ukraine strives to follow this ambitious path alongside the EU, which needs to consolidate EU initiatives in combating cross-border instability. Ukrainian educational programs lack knowledge of European initiatives, as well as sufficient experience in implementing European practices for transforming the business environment. Ukrainian educational programs lack knowledge about the EU Green Deal, and the application of circular economy principles in the Ukrainian business environment is also insufficient. In response, lecturers of KNEU and young researchers have developed this project.
Main goal of the project:
The project aims to disseminate advanced knowledge on the EU's global competitive leadership strategy and the creation of a climate-neutral economy.
Project objectives:
- Creation of an open University research and internship network for sustainable development, cooperation among students, faculty, researchers, employers, and all other stakeholders in promoting the EU Green Deal in Ukraine
- Development and testing of a new university internship program as an action plan for transforming employment models amid global challenges
- Development and implementation of a new open-distance course on studying the European model of green development and the possibility of its adaptation in Ukraine
- Research on progress and prospects of climate-neutral economy both in the EU and Ukraine
- Conducting round tables on the green economic course of Ukraine’s movement toward a sustainable Europe for Ukrainians, politicians and government officials, representatives of small and medium businesses, and civil society
- Promotion of EU values and approaches online for a broad audience
