The main goal of the Institute is to conduct applied sociological research in the interests of the University, to conduct systematic sociological research and monitoring of the quality of the educational and training process at the University, to analyze the efficiency of the functioning of structural units.

Areas of activity of the Institute:

1) systematic diagnostics of the quality of the educational process at the University based on sociological research and sociological expertise;

2) providing services for analyzing the results of scientific research using sociological methods, forecasts and recommendations; ensuring planned quality control of the educational process of professional training in all specialties and areas of study in which students of the University study;

3) conducting sociological diagnostics and examination of the activities of various structural units of the University by order of the Rector;

4) research development of sociological tools for the internal needs of university staff and structural units;

5) research and methodological sociological support of management decisions within the University;

6) conducting monitoring and evaluation studies as part of the university’s programme to ensure the quality of the educational process;

7) providing research and methodological recommendations on the organization of a high-quality level of management of the educational process at the University based on the results of sociological research;

8) development of research and methodological support for practical training of students and creation of conditions for their active involvement in research work;

9) conducting sociological surveys, advising customers on research and methodological support and conducting sociological surveys, developing tools, etc., in accordance with the agreements concluded with business entities of all forms of ownership;

10) providing central executive authorities and local self-government bodies with information support and assistance in preparing management decisions related to socio-economic development and effective management of society, providing professional advice on sociological issues.
