Guest lecture: Dr Lucie Antoine «Europe’s digital regulation: a way forward to foster data driven innovation?»21 October 2024р.On October 21, 2024, a guest lecture "Europe's digital regulation: a way forward to foster data driven innovation?" for master’s level students of the educational and professional program "Innovative Entrepreneurship and Digital Leadership" (online, Zoom) will be held at 8.30 a.m. in KNEU.
Guest lecturer: Dr Lucie Antoine - Doctor of Law, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Faculty of Law).
The lecture will be devoted to the review and analysis of the main provisions of the new European legislative acts in the field of digital economy, as well as an assessment of their impact on the development of data-driven innovation. Even though (or precisely because) European digital companies hardly match the significance of such companies from the US or China, the European Union has decided to play an active role in the regulation of the digital economy. With the Digital Services Act, the Data Governance Act, the Digital Markets Act, the AI Act and the Data Act, a number of new regulatory instruments are on the horizon in order to provide a legal framework for digital business models. |
