Psychological Assistance at KNEU

The Social Adaptation and Psychological Assistance Service employs practical

psychologists, who are specialists who conduct individual consultations, group

trainings, and master classes.

The work of psychologists is diverse in its forms and methods. This includes

group work — various trainings (self-regulation, communication, personal growth,

etc.), information meetings, and group consultations.

A special role is given to individual counseling to solve personal psychological

problems of students and teachers.

The tasks of psychologists consist in:

- promoting psychological safety, providing psychological and social and

pedagogical assistance to all participants in the educational process;

- conducting advisory work (providing consultations to students, academic

personnel, and employees of the University) aimed at helping a person to understand

the problem and find ways to solve it optimally;

- psychological support of the educational process;

- psychological support for the intellectual, social, and physical development of

students, taking into account individual, gender and age characteristics of the

personality;

- preserving and strengthening mental health, promoting psychological safety,

and providing psychological and counseling assistance to all participants in the

educational process;

- psychological support for adaptation to the conditions of study at the

university;

- implementing preventive, educational, and corrective programs in individual

and group work with all participants in the educational process;

Psychological assistance specialists are actively involved in measures to

optimize the work of university curators, first-year monitors, and various activities

related to the adaptation of freshmen.
