The study course Intellectual property management   is included in the cycle of the special economic disciplines on the faculty of  International economics and management and leans on subjects , that were  before mastered  by students: Management, International management, International strategies of economic development, an international competitiveness and others. 

The purpose of study of this discipline is contraction by the students the complex knowledge about major theoretical and practical component of  intellectual property managements, and also practical skills of management  them on corporate, national and international levels.

Therefore the tasks of course are directed on:

• understanding the essence of categories of  intellectual property, subjects  of  law of intellectual ownership and rights on them, their roles and places in informative society and in the economy of Ukraine;
• ability to analyze and estimate economic, politico-legal, socio-cultural, technological terms and infrastructure of creation, appeal, defense, regulation of markets of objects of  rights of intellectual ownership;
• study of principles, processes of international division of labor, specialization and co-operation, as a decision factor of development of economics in  general and intellectual property as key resource of informative society;
• understanding of pre-conditions and forms, methods and mechanisms of creation, appeal, consumption and management of objects of rights of intellectual ownership and lead through of their estimation;
• study and analysis of development of market’s  objects of rights of intellectual ownership status in the world and in  Ukraine;
• ability to develop and analyze elements and  complex plans and strategic directions of management of objects of rights of intellectual ownership on corporate, national and international levels;
• deepening of practical skills of legal accompaniment of economic relations in relation to objects of rights of intellectual ownership;
• ability to use gained knowledge in practical foreign economic activity of Ukraine and national subjects, taking into account tendencies and prospects of development of international economic relations.

To effective realization of aims and tasks a course inferior logic of its teaching, structure and maintenance of themes.

The article of course of intellectual property  is management of  an intellectual property on the different stages and levels in the conditions of passing of society to the intensive and high-competition use of objects of right of intellectual ownership in economic life of national and foreign subjects of international economic relations.
