In 1983, graduated from the Kyiv Institute of National Economy named after D. S. Korotchenko (KINE). Since 1986, worked in the research sector of KINE. Since 1993, teaching sociology at Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU).

Teaching experience at KNEU named after Vadym Hetman spans 31 years.

In 2010, a PhD dissertation was defended on "Methods of Comparative Analysis of Sociological and Statistical Assessments of Poverty and Wealth in Ukraine" in the speciality 22.00.04 – Special and Sectoral Sociologies at the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

In 2012, awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.
