Dr. Thomas Deissinger

Professor Thomas Deissinger is a distinguished German scholar, Head of the Department of Business and Economic Education at the University of Konstanz. His research interests include vocational education, workplace learning, and competency development.

Professor Deissinger has made significant contributions to the study and advancement of the dual education system, which combines theoretical learning with practical workplace experience. He actively explores the mechanisms for implementing dual education in different countries and adapting this model to modern labor market demands.

His research is published in international journals, and his findings influence educational policy in vocational education. Professor Deissinger also participates in international conferences, sharing his expertise with colleagues worldwide.

Thanks to his efforts, the University of Konstanz has become one of the leading centers for the study and implementation of dual education in Europe.

Professor Deissinger was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. This honor acknowledges his significant contributions to economic education and the strengthening of international academic cooperation.

On May 19, 2016, Professor Deissinger visited KNEU, where he delivered a lecture for students and faculty on modern trends in economic education.
