Professor Dr. André W. Heinemann

Professor André V. Heinemann is a distinguished scholar in the field of economics and finance. He serves as the Vice Dean for Research at the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics and as a Professor of Federal and Regional Financial Relations at the University of Bremen, Germany.

His research focuses on fiscal decentralization, regional development, and financial policy. Professor Heinemann actively collaborates with international partners, including Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU). He has participated in international summer schools and forums, such as "Green Economy: Theory and Policy" and "Contemporary Issues of the Digital Economy," held in cooperation between the University of Bremen and KNEU.

In 2020, in accordance with Protocol No. 7 dated February 27, 2020, Professor Heinemann was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of KNEU. This recognition was given for his significant contributions to the development of scientific cooperation between the two universities and his active participation in joint academic events.

Thanks to his efforts and initiatives, KNEU students have had the opportunity to participate in international programs and conferences, enhancing their professional development and integration into the global academic community. For instance, in 2022, KNEU students took part in the 89th Student Conference in Bremen, where they discussed issues related to the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Professor Heinemann continues to work actively on strengthening international academic ties and developing scientific potential at both the University of Bremen and KNEU, facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration between academic communities worldwide.
