«STOCK MARKET OF UKRAINE: INVESTMENT POSSIBILITIES»

On 19 May 2011 the round table discussion of “Market of Ukraine: investment opportunities” was held at the premises of Kyiv National University named after V. Hetman.

The conference was organized by the Chair for Banking investment at the Credit and Economics Department and the Chair of Financial markets at the Finance and Economics Department.

The round table discussed the following issues:
1) the structure and the major players of the market;
2) the available stock market instruments;
3) the prospects of "Ukrainian Stock Exchange" in 2011.;
4) the basic methods of investing in the stock market;
5) the development of online trading services;
6) the investment opportunities of the banking system;
7) the guarantee system of the stock market derivatives.

The conference was attended by the leading specialists of JSC "Ukrainian Stock Exchange" JSC "First Investment Bank" and the Investment group "Socrates" as well as the KNEU lecturers, graduate students and Masters.

During the round table the reports of experts and scholars on the development of Ukraine's stock market were heard, and new investment opportunities were discussed with participants the table.
 

M.I. Dyba, the Dean of credit and economic faculty, professor, doktor economicheskih nauk, opened the conference. He stressed the importance of measures under the framework of such plan for training the high-level specialists.
