Results of the training "European Green Development Model"03 December 2023р.

From October 30 to November 24, 2023, another training "European Green Development Model" was held, which became the third in the line of educational events.

The training was held within the framework of the international technical assistance project of the European Union Erasmus+ "Youth leadership towards the consolidation of EU initiatives in the context of cross-border instability in Ukraine".

The participants of the training were mainly 5th-year students of the Faculty of International Economics and Management.

The sessions covered the scientific foundations of the green economy, as well as European climate ambitions and tools for their implementation, resource security and decarbonization of the EU energy system, the Common Energy Space between Ukraine and the EU, non-financial reporting, circular economy, and European practices for implementing such an economy. Both theoretical and practical examples of modern technological solutions that meet the principles of sustainable development were considered.

The European Union firmly believes that the transition to a green economy is a great opportunity to build a fairer and more sustainable economy. The EU is implementing this through the European Green Deal.

After the historic day when Ukraine received EU candidate status and began negotiations on EU membership, the task of transforming the Ukrainian economy into a net zero and pollution-free economy has become even more urgent.

An economic recovery based on green principles will create the conditions for Ukraine’s competitive success after the war.
