GENIUS’ goals:

- implementation of European gender equality policy practices and structural changes at the KNEU and partner universities

- dissemination of gender knowledge among students and academic community

- cooperation with employers and other partners in fostering a full deployment of women’s professional potential

- promoting women's leadership through outreach and building international women's networks

•  KNEU Survey “Gender Aspects of an Individual’s Professional Fulfillment in the Academic Environment ”, December 2017 - January 2018

GENIUS was the first to conduct an empirical study of gender balance in different fields of KNEU activities, assessing the impact of gender on participation in management, initiation and discussion of important decisions, as well as on teachers' professional development. The survey showed that while women make almost 70% of academic staff of KNEU, the deployment of their professional potential is limited.

• Genius team visits Vienna University of Economics and Business to learn experience of Committee for Equal Treatment functioning (24-29 November 2019)

Projects:

- Since February 2020, the University Konstanz and GENIUS jointly implement a 4-year DIES project “Female Leadership in Academia and Management in Germany and Ukraine” (FLAMINGU)funded by the DAAD from the BMZ funds(Federal Ministry of Economy, Cooperation and Development).

The project is aimed to establish the structures for equality, for the empowerment of female researchers and gender equity at the partner university in Ukraine. For this reason we want to frame the basis for the implementation of the European standards for equality constructing the structures for equality (documents and processes), sensitizing the university's government, promoting female researchers for the leading positions and educating the management staff.

"

- V. Tokar. Scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists to conduct research within the framework of scientific project “Financial-Economic and Institutional Mechanisms for Gender Equality Implementation in the Economic Security Systems of the EU and Ukraine”
