Arzhevitin Stanislav Mikhailovich In 1982, he graduated from the Kyiv Institute of National Economy named after D.S. Korotchenko, Faculty of Finance and Economics, specializing in Finance and Credit, and received a degree in economics. He began his career as a banker in August 1982 as an economist at the Cherkasy Regional Office of the USSR Construction Bank. He started his career in the USSR Construction Bank as an auditor of the Ukrainian office of the USSR Construction Bank, deputy manager of the Brovary branch, head of the Operations Department (Kyiv), head of the department of the Kyiv regional office of the USSR Construction Bank. In 1991, he establishes a commercial bank, Ukrpostachbank, which is registered in the Moscow Book of Banks and Exchanges, and in 1992 is re-registered in the Kyiv Book of Banks and Exchanges under the name Joint Stock Bank Azhio. NBU license number 4. He was Chairman of the Board of this bank for all 15 years. In 2004/2005, he held the position of Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Economic Affairs. Advisor to the President of Ukraine in 2005-2010. He was a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the V and VI convocations. He is the author of 28 draft laws on financial and banking issues, 8 of which became laws, including the Law on the Deposit Guarantee System, the Law on Insurance (new version), the Law on Improvement of Securities Legislation, and others. More than 300 legislative proposals became effective provisions of 49 laws of Ukraine. In 2005-2010, while holding the position of Advisor (outside the staff) to the President of Ukraine, he made great efforts to reform the monetary and financial system of Ukraine. He was repeatedly appointed Chairman of the State Attestation Commissions of the Faculties of Finance and Economics and Credit and Economics; was twice elected to the Supervisory Board of the KNEU; worked part-time at the Department of Banking. In May 2011, he received a doctorate in economics with a degree in Money, Finance and Credit. His teaching experience includes: first 10 years at Azhio College, then another 10 years at higher education institutions. He is a member of 2 Specialized Academic Councils for awarding the degree of Doctor of Sciences. Since March 2015, Arzhevitin S.M. has been a professor of the Department of Banking, and since November 2015 - Head of the Department. It was on the initiative of S. Arzhevitin that KNEU signed cooperation agreements with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance and Banking and the Scientific and Expert Board of the Public Council under the NBU, the Association of Ukrainian Banks, where the teachers of the Banking Department implement their scientific achievements. The list of scientific and educational works includes more than 100 titles; he has participated in more than 30 scientific and practical conferences. S.M. Arzhevitin is engaged in wide-ranging public activities. For 27 years, he has been the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, and for several years - the Public Council at the National Bank of Ukraine. He is an honorary academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, academician of the Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine, and an independent director of an insurance company. In 2023, he received a state certificate of proficiency in the state (Ukrainian) language. He was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation and a Diploma from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Colonel in the reserve of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Member of the Board of the National Union of Local History of Ukraine.
