He graduated from the Kiev Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers (National Aviation University) in 1972. Candidate of Technical Sciences since 1984, defended his dissertation in 1984 at the specialized council of the Institute of Cybernetics of the NAS of Ukraine, specialty 05.13.13 - Organization of structures and computing processes in computers, complexes and systems. He received the scientific title of senior researcher in 1987. Computers, Complexes and Networks. Doctor of Economics, defended his dissertation in 2008 at the specialized scientific council D26.006.06 at the Kiev National Economic University. Vadim Hetmanaz with specialty 08.00.11 - Mathematical methods, models and information technologies in economics. He holds the title of professor since April 2011. He is the author of 156 scientific and methodological publications, 130 of which are scientific and 26 educational and methodical in nature, including 47 in professional publications; author of 5 manuals with the MES stamp; is the sole author of the monograph and co-author of 4 collective monographs. After the defense of his doctoral dissertation, 25 works were published, including 1 manual (with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine), 2 collective monographs, and 13 articles published in professional journals. He was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (Order No. 323-k of April 25, 2002).
