Europe's digital regulation: a way forward to foster data driven innovation?13 November 2023р.

Even though (or precisely because) European digital companies hardly match the significance of such companies from the US or China, the European Union has decided to play an active role in the regulation of the digital economy. With the Digital Services Act, the Data Governance Act, the Digital Markets Act, the AI Act and the Data Act, a number of new regulatory instruments are on the horizon in order to provide a legal framework for digital business models. Dr Lucie Antoine and Korbinian Schrom (both LMU Munich) will provide an overview over these new legislative acts, focussing on the question how they contribute to fostering data-driven innovation.
