Redlands International Summer Seminar Insights into the California and US Economy Prepared for Students of the Kyiv National Economic University July 5 - 19, 2020 The program begins at the University of Redlands’ campus in Marin County just north of San Francisco (Detailed information about the Seminar). In addition to lectures that provide insights on the US and California economies, students will explore the vibrant start-up culture of the Bay area and visit the world renown Silicon Valley and its leading technology companies. Between the lectures and site visits, students will be able to explore San Francisco and its many attractions. The program continues in southern California as students travel to the University’s main campus in Redlands. Students will participate in a series of lectures to hear from faculty experts on the US political environment and American business practices in such areas as finance, marketing, and human resources. Further company visits in the Los Angeles area allow students to experience firsthand the application of business trends and economic conditions that make California an important part of the wider US and international markets. As part of the cultural program, students will attend local arts performances and sporting events; visit several of the world-famous southern California tourist sites including Hollywood, Disneyland and Universal Studios; and make an excursion to Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam. As the program concludes, students will return to San Francisco for their travel back to Ukraine.
